10 Commandments Of An Epic Event

  1. Smile & Nod

Any number of things is going to be thrown at you today. Keep calm & carry on. Nothing defuses a situation more than a smile and a nod.

  1. Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Bring out your best today – you’re on show and you’re setting the vibe of the event. Take a deep breath and know that you’re apart of creating something awesome!

  1. Don’t Take It Personally

If you get presented with a problem, nip it in the bud straight away. Direct communication is key to a good event – don’t take it personally.

  1. Keep a ‘Horse Lips’ Tally

You are now entering a whinge free zone. End of story. When someone brings you a problem or is being unreasonable, give it a horse lips and shake it off.

  1. You’ll Only Need Breaks If You’re Not Having Fun

There is no difference between work & play here – they’re one in the same. We’re here for a good time, not a long time. Make the most of it!

  1. Always Be Nice to the Waiter

The whole team from the organisers through to the ground crew are equally important to the events success.

  1. Don’t Take Yourself Too Seriously

Humour is the antidote to chaos. When things become challenging, always focus on the funny. If you make a mistake, fess up so you can fix it up and then move on.

  1. Embrace Surprise

Being playful is being ready for surprises. Being playful is looking for surprises – embracing surprises and enjoying them. Treat every surprise as “part of the game.”

  1. Hydrate Hard

Check yourself before you wreck yourself.  We’ve got a water truck onsite – make use of it!

10.  Fill Ya Belly

The crew tent is full of delicious treats. Tuck in when you have a mo.
